HYMN 37  [MP]    As the deer pants for the water

1 As the deer pants for the water,
so my soul longs after You.
You alone are my heart’s desire
and I long to worship You.
Chorus
You alone are my strength, my shield,
to You alone may my spirit yield.
You alone are my heart’s desire
and I long to worship You.
2 I want You more than gold or silver,
only You can satisfy.
You alone are the real joy-giver
and the apple of my eye.
3 You’re my Friend and You are my brother,
even though You are a king.
I love You more than any other,
so much more than anything.

Chorus 1
Deep and wide Deep and wide
There’s a fountain flowing deep and wide
Deep and wide Deep and wide
There’s a fountain flowing deep and wide

Wide and deep wide and deep
There’s a fountain flowing wide and deep
Wide and deep, Wide and deep
There’s a fountain flowing wide and deep

Chorus 2
Wide, wide as the ocean, high as the heaven above
Deep, deep as the deepest sea is my Saviour’s love
I, though so unworthy, still am a child of His care
For His Word teaches me that His love reaches me everywhere  [sing twice]

Chorus 3
Running over, running over
My cup’s full and running over,
Since the Lord saved me
I am as happy as can be,
My cup’s full and running over.  [sing twice]

HYMN 722  [CH4]   Spirit of God come dwell within me

1 Spirit of God, come dwell within me.
Open my heart, oh, come set me free.
Fill me with love for Jesus, my Lord,
come, fill me with living water.
Chorus
Jesus is living, Jesus is here.
Jesus, my Lord, come closer to me:
Jesus, our Saviour, dying for me,
and rising to save his people.
2 Lord, how I thirst, my Lord, I am weak.
Lord, come to ne, you alone do I seek.
Lord, you are life and love and hope,
come, fill me with living water.
3 Lord, I am blind, my Lord, I can’t see.
Stretch out your hand, bring comfort to me.
Lead me your way in light and in truth,
come, fill me with living water.

HYMN 275  [MP]   I heard the voice of Jesus say

1 I heard the voice of Jesus say,
‘Come unto Me and rest;
lay down, thou weary one, lay down,
thy head upon My breast’:
I came to Jesus as I was,
weary, and worn, and sad;
I found in Him a resting-place,
and He has made me glad.
2 I heard the voice of Jesus say,
‘Behold, I freely give
the living water; thirsty one,
stoop down and drink, and live’:
I came to Jesus, and I drank
of that life-giving stream;
my thirst was quenched, my soul revived,
and now I live in Him.
3 I heard the voice of Jesus say,
‘I am this dark world’s light;
look unto Me, thy morn shall rise,
and all thy day be bright’:
I looked to Jesus and I found
in Him my star, my sun;
and in that light of life I’ll walk
till travelling days are done.

HYMN 1008 [MP]  The Lord’s my shepherd

1 The Lord’s my shepherd, I’ll not want.
He makes me lie in pastures green.
He leads me by the still, still waters,
His goodness restores my soul.
Chorus: And I will trust in You alone,
and I will trust in You alone,
for Your endless mercy follows me,
Your goodness will lead me home.
2 He guides my ways in righteousness
and He anoints my head with oil,
and my cup, it overflows with joy,
I feast on His pure delights.
3 And though I walk the darkest path
I will not fear the evil one,
for You are with me, and Your rod and staff,
are the comfort I need to know.
