Call to Worship
The earth is the Lord
And everything in it
The world
And all who live in it
For he founded the seas
And established it on the waters
So, we praise our creator
CH4 448/MP 445 : Lord the light of your love
1 Lord the light of your love is shining
In the midst of the darkness shining
Jesus, light of the world shine upon us
Set us free by the truth you now bring us
Shine on me. Shine on me
Chorus: Shine Jesus shine
Fill the land with the Father’s glory
Blaze spirit blaze set our hearts on fire
Flow river flow
flood the nations with grace and mercy
Send forth your word now
And let there be light
2 Lord I come to your awesome presence
Form the shadows into your radiance
by your blood I may enter your brightness
Search me, try me, consume all my darkness
Shine on me. Shine on me
3 As we gaze on your kingly brightness
So, our faces display your likeness
Ever changing from glory to glory
Mirrored here may our lives tell your story
Shine on me. Shine on me

Different faces, different races He made us one
Jesus taught us how-to live-in harmony

Jesus taught us how to be a family
Loving one another with the love that He gives
Jesus taught us how to be a family
4 Jesus turned our sorrow into dancing

Changed our tears of sadness into rivers of joy
Jesus turned our sorrow into a dance
Luke 13:10-17 New International Version
On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years.
She was bent over and could not straighten up at all.
When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her,
“Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.”
Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.
Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue leader said to the people,
“There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath.”
The Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! Doesn’t each of you on the Sabbath untie your ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water?
Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?”
When he said this, all his opponents were humiliated, but the people were delighted with all the wonderful things he was doing.
CH4 187/MP 683; There’s a wideness
1 There’s a wideness in God’s mercy
Like the wideness of the sea
There’s a kindness in his justice
Which is more than liberty
2 There is no place where earth’s sorrows
are more felt than up in heaven
There is no place where earth’s failings
have such kindly judgement given
3 For the love of God is broader
Than the grasp of mortal mind
And the heart of the eternal
Is most wonderfully kind
4 If our love were but more simple
We would take him at his word
And our lives be filled with glory
From the glory of the Lord
MP 96 : Come let us sing
1 Come let us sing of a wonderful love
Tender and true
Out of the heart of the Father above
Streaming to me and to you
Wonderful love
Dwells in the heart of the Father above
2 Jesus the Saviour this gospel to tell
Joyfully came
Came with the helpless and hopeless to dwell
Sharing their sorrow and shame
Seeking the lost
saving, redeeming at measureless cost
3 Jesus is seeking the wanderers yet
Why do they roam?
Love only waits to forgive and forget
Home! Weary wanderers’ home!
Wonderful love
Dwells in the heart of the Father above
4 Come to my heart, O thou wonderful love
Come and abide
Lifting my life till it rises above
envy and falsehood and pride
seeking to be
lowly and humble, a learner of thee
CH4 264/MP395 : Judge eternal
1 Judge eternal throned in splendour
Lord of Lords and King of Kings
With your living fire of judgement
Purge this land of bitter things
Solace all its wide dominion
with the healing of your wings
2 Still the weary folk are pining
For the hour that brings release
And the city’s crowded clangour
Cries aloud for sin to cease
And the homesteads and the woodlands
Plead in silence for their peace
3 Crown O God your own endeavour
Cleave our darkness with your sword
Feed the faithless and the hungry
With the richness of your word
Cleanse the body of this nation
Through the glory of the Lord
