Call to Worship
We come to God as we are
Empty hands
Worn out hearts
Bruised souls

In him we find
Work to do
Healing for our brokenness
Love to renew and restore
Through Christ our Lord

MP 857: I The Lord

1 I, the Lord of sea and sky,
I have heard My people cry.
All who dwell in dark and sin
My hand will save.
I who made the stars of night,
I will make their darkness bright.
Who will bear My light to them?
Whom shall I send?
Chorus
Here I am, Lord
Is it I, Lord?
I have heard You calling in the night.
I will go, Lord,
if You lead me.
I will hold Your people in my heart.

2 I, the Lord of snow and rain,
I have borne My people’s pain.
I have wept for love of them.
They turn away.
I will break their hearts of stone,
give them hearts for love alone.
I will speak My word to them.
Whom shall I send?
3 I, the Lord of wind and flame,
I will tend the poor and lame.
I will set a feast for them.
My hand will save.
Finest bread I will provide
till their hearts are satisfied.
I will give My life to them.
Whom shall I send?

Hymn JP589: Our God is a great big God

Our God is a great big God,
our God is a great big God,
our God is a great big God,
and He holds us in His hands
Our God is a great big God.
He’s higher than a skyscraper
and He’s deeper than a submarine
He’s wider than the universe
and beyond my wildest dreams
And He’s known me and He’s loved me
since before the world began.
How wonderful to be a part
of God’s amazing plan.

Luke 9:10-17 New International Version
When the apostles returned, they reported to Jesus what they had done.
Then he took them with him and they withdrew by themselves to a town called Bethsaida, but the crowds learned about it and followed him.
He welcomed them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed healing.
Late in the afternoon the Twelve came to him and said,
“Send the crowd away so they can go to the surrounding villages and countryside and find food and lodging, because we are in a remote place here.”
He replied, “You give them something to eat.”
They answered, “We have only five loaves of bread and two fish—unless we go and buy food for all this crowd.” (About five thousand men were there.)
But he said to his disciples, “Have them sit down in groups of about fifty each.”  The disciples did so, and everyone sat down.
Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke them. Then he gave them to the disciples to distribute to the people.
They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.

MP 502: O let the Son of God enfold you

1 O let the Son of God enfold you
with His Spirit and His love;
let Him fill your heart and satisfy your soul.
O let Him have the things that hold you,
and His Spirit, like a dove,
will descend upon your life and make you whole.
Chorus
Jesus, O Jesus,
come and fill Your Lambs;
Jesus, O Jesus,
come and fill Your Lambs;
2 O come and sing this song with gladness,
as your hearts are filled with joy;
Lift your hands in sweet surrender to His name.
O give Him all your tears and sadness,
give him all your years of pain,
and you’ll enter into life in Jesus’ name

CH4 512: To God be the glory

1 To God be the glory! great things He hath done;
so loved He the world that He gave us His Son;
who yielded His life an atonement for sin,
and opened the life gate that all may go in.
Chorus
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord!
let the earth hear His voice;
praise the Lord, praise the Lord!
let the people rejoice:
O come to the Father,
through Jesus the Son
and give Him the glory;
great things He hath done!
2 O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood!
to every believer the promise of God;
the vilest offender who truly believes,
that moment from Jesus a pardon receives.
3 Great things He hath taught us, great things He hath done,
and great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
but purer, and higher, and greater will be
our wonder, our rapture, when Jesus we see.
