HYMN 213  [CH4]   Every new morning

1 Every new morning
God gives us freely
hearts that are thankful,
strength for the task,
people who love us
joy in our service,
all we have need of
if we but ask.

2 God will be with us
in all our thinking,
in all our speaking,
in all we do
and as we praise him
by all our actions,
he will be with us,
seeing us through.

3 God in the morning,
God in the noontide,
God in the evening,
all through the day,,
God is within us,
and all around us,
God goes before us
all of the way.

HYMN 133 [MP]  Father I place in to your hands

1 Father, I place in to Your hands
the things that I can’t do.
Father, I place into Your hands
the times that I’ve been through.
Father, I place into Your hands
the way that I should go,
for I know I always can trust You.

2 Father, I place in to Your hands
my friends and family.
Father, I place into Your hands
the things that trouble me.
Father, I place into Your hands
the person  I would be,
for I know I always can trust You.

3 Father, we love to seek Your face,
we love to hear your voice.
Father, we love to sing Your praise,
and in Your name rejoice,.
Father, we love to walk with You,
and in Your presence rest,
for we know we always can trust You.

4 Father, I want to be with You,
and do the things You do.
Father, I want to speak the words,
that You are speaking too.
Father, I want to love the ones,
that You will draw to You,
for I know that I am one with You.

Reading: Ezekiel 34: 11-16 & 20-24

 For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I myself will search for my sheep and look after them.  As a shepherd looks after his scattered flock when he is with them, so will I look after my sheep. I will rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on a day of clouds darkness.  I will bring them out from the nations and gather them from the countries, and I will bring them into their own land. I will pasture them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines and in all the settlements in the land.  I will tend them in a good pasture, and the mountain heights of Israel will be their grazing land. There they will lie down in good grazing land, and there they will feed in a rich pasture on the mountains of Israel.  I myself will tend my sheep and make them lie down, declares the Sovereign Lord.  I will search for the lost and bring back the strays. I will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak, but the sleek and the strong I will destroy. I will shepherd the flock with justice.
Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says to them: see, I myself will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep.  Because you shove with flank and shoulder, butting all the weak sheep with your horns until you have driven them away, I will save my flock, and they will no longer be plundered. I will judge between one sheep and another.  I will place over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he will tend them; he will tend them and be their shepherd. I the Lord will be their God, and my servant David will be prince among them. I the Lord have spoken.

HYMN 649 [MP]  The King of Love my Shepherd is

1 The King of love my shepherd is,
whose goodness faileth never;
I nothing lack if I am His
and He is mine for ever.

2 Where streams of living water flow
my ransomed soul He leadeth,
and where the verdant pastures grow
with food celestial feedeth.

3 Perverse and foolish oft I strayed;
but yet in love He sought us,
and on His shoulder gently laid,
and home rejoicing brought me.

4 In death’s dark vale I fear no ill
with Thee, dear Lord, beside me;
Thy rod and staff my comfort still,
Thy cross before to guide me.

5 Thou spread’st a  table in my sight;
Thy unction grace bestoweth;
and O what transport of delight
from Thy pure chalice floweth!

6 And so through all the length of days
Thy goodness faileth never;
Good Shepherd, may I sing Thy praise
within Thy house for ever!

HYMN 515 [MP]  O Love that wilt not let me go

1 O Love that wilt not let me go,
I rest my weary soul in Thee;
uncomprehend and unbought,
beyond all knowledge and all thought.

2 O heavenly love, how precious still,
in days of weariness and ill,
in nights of pain and helplessness,
to heal, to comfort, and to bless!

3 O wide-embracing, wonderful love,
we see You in the sky above,
we see You in the earth below,
in seas that swell and streams that flow

4 We see You in Him who came
to bear for us the cross of shame,
sent by the Father from on high,
our life to live, our death to die.

5 We see Your power to bless and save
e’en in the darkness of the grave,
still more in resurrection-light,
we see the fulness of Your might.

6 O love of God, our shield and stay,
through all the perils of our ways;
eternal Love, in You we rest,
for ever safe, for ever blest!

HYMN 315 [MP]   I will sing the wondrous story

1 I will sing the wonderous story
of the Christ, who died for me –
how He left the realms of glory
for the cross on Calvary.
Yes, I’ll sing the wonderous story
of the Christ who died for me –
sing it with His Saints in glory,
gathered by the crystal sea.

2 I was lost, but Jesus found me,
found he sheep that went astray,
raised me up and gently led me,
back into the narrow way.
Days of darkness still may meet me,
sorrow’s path I oft may tread;
but His presence still is with me,
by His guiding hand I’m led.

3 He will keep me till the river
rolls its water at my feet;
then He’ll bear me safely over,
mad by grace for glory meet.
Yes’ I’ll sing the the wonderous story
of the Christ who died with me –
sing it with His Saints in glory,
gathered by the crystal sea.
