Call to Worship
MP  376 Jesus put this song

1 Jesus put this song into our hearts,
Jesus put this song  into our hearts,
it’s a song of joy no-one can take away,
Jesus put this song  into our hearts.

2 Jesus taught us how to live in harmony,
Jesus taught us how to live in harmony,
different faces, different races, He made us one –
Jesus taught us4 how to live in harmony.

3 Jesus taught us how to be a family,
Jesus taught us how to be a family,
loving one another with the love that He gives –
Jesus taught us how to be a family,

4 Jesus turns our sorrows into dancing,
Jesus turns our sorrows into dancing,
changed our tears of sadness into rivers of joy –
Jesus turns our sorrows into dancing.

Baptism

CH4 796 The Lord bless you and keep you
The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face to shine upon you,
and be gracious unto you:
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you
and give you peace.
Hymn: Jesus loves Harry
Jesus, Jesus loves Harry,
Yes he does, we know he does.
Jesus, Jesus loves Harry,
Yes he does we know he does,
Jesus, Jesus loves Harry
Yes he does, we know he does
and Jesus wants Harry to love Him too.
(Sing twice)

James 5:13-20 New International Version
Is anyone among you in trouble?
Let them pray.
Is anyone happy?
Let them sing songs of praise.
Is anyone among you sick?
Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.
And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up.
If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.
Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.
The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years.
Again, he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.
My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, remember this:
Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins.

SGP 17- By Cool Siloam

1 By cool Siloam’s shady rill
how sweet the lily grows!
How sweet the breath beneath the hill
of Sharon’s dewy rose!

2 Lo! such a child whose early feet
the paths of peace have trod,
whose secret heart with influence sweet
is upward drawn to God.

3 By cool Siloam’s shady rill
the lily must decay,
the rose that blooms beneath the hill
must shortly fade away.

4 And soon, too soon, the wintry hour
of man’s maturer age
will shake the soul with sorrow’s power
and stormy passion’s rage.

5 O thou whose infant feet were found
within thy Father’s shrine,
whose years, with changeless virtue crowned,
were all alike divine.

6 Dependent on thy bounteous breath
we seek thy grace alone,
in childhood, manhood, age, and death
to keep us still thine own.

MP 1008 The Lord’s my Shepherd

1 The Lord’s my shepherd, I’ll not want.
He makes me lie in pastures green.
He leads me by the still, still waters,
His goodness restores my soul.
Chorus: And I will trust in You alone,
and I will trust in You alone<
for Your endless mercy follows me,
Your goodness will lead me home.

2 He guides my ways in righteousness
and He anoints my head with oil,
and my cup< it overflows with joy,
I feast on His pure delights.

3 And though I walk the darkest path
I will not fear the evil one,
for You are with me, and Your rod and staff,
are the comfort I need to know.
