Call to Worship
The wisdom from above
is pure and peaceful
It is gentle and friendly
The wisdom from above
is full of compassion
It produces a harvest of good deeds
Goodness is the harvest that is produced
from the seeds the peacemakers
plant in peace.

MP 445: Lord the light of your love

1 Lord the light of your love is shining
In the midst of the darkness shining
Jesus, light of the world shine upon us
Set us free by the truth you now bring us
Shine on me. Shine on me
Chorus: Shine Jesus shine
Fill the land with the Father’s glory
Blaze spirit blaze set our hearts on fire
Flow river flow
flood the nations with grace and mercy
Send forth your word now
And let there be light
2 Lord I come to your awesome presence
Form the shadows into your radiance
by your blood I may enter your brightness
Search me, try me, consume all my darkness
Shine on me. Shine on me
3 As we gaze on your kingly brightness
So, our faces display your likeness
Ever changing from glory to glory
Mirrored here may our lives tell your story
Shine on me. Shine on me

MP 167 : Give me oil

Give me oil in my lamp,
keep me burning,
give me oil in my lamp I pray
Give me oil in my lamp,
keep me burning,
keep me burning till the break of day;
Chorus: Sing Hosanna, sing hosanna,
sing hosanna to the King of kings!
Sing Hosanna, sing hosanna,
sing hosanna to the King!
2 Make me a fisher of men,
keep me seeking,
make me a fisher of men, I pray
Make me a fisher of men,
keep me seeking,
keep me seeking till the break of day.
3 Give me joy in my heart,
keep me singing,
give me joy in my heart I pray,
give me joy in my heart,
keep me singing,
keep me singing till the break of day.
4 Give me love in my heart,
keep me serving,
give me love in my heart I pray,
give me love in my heart
keep me serving,
keep me serving till the break of day.

Galatians 5 : 22 & 23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love,
joy, peace, forbearance,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness and self-control.
Against such things there is no law.

1 Corinthians 12:12-20 New International Version – UK
Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts forms one body, so it is with Christ.
For we were all baptised by one Spirit so as to form one body
– whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free
– and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.
And so the body is not made up of one part but of many.
Now if the foot should say,
‘Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,’ it would not for that reason stop being part of the body.
And if the ear should say, ‘Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,’ it would not for that reason stop being part of the body.
If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be?
If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?
But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.
If they were all one part, where would the body be?
As it is, there are many parts, but one body.

MP 152 : For the beauty of the earth

1 For the beauty of the earth,
for the beauty of the skies,
for the love which from our birth,
over and around us lies;
Father, unto You we raise
this our sacrifice of praise.
2 For the beauty of each hour
of the day and of the night
hill and vale, and tree and flower,
sun and moon, and stars of light;
Father, unto You we raise
this our sacrifice of praise.
3 For the joy of love from God,
that we share on earth below;
for our friends and family,
and the love that they can show;
Father, unto You we raise,
this our sacrifice of prayer.
4 For each perfect gift divine
to our race so freely given,
thank You Lord that they are mine,
here on earth as gifts from heaven;
Father, unto You we raise,
this our sacrifice of prayer.

Guild Dedication Prayer

In faith
We now dedicate ourselves
Through worship, prayer and action to serve you faithfully
To love you with all our heart
All our soul and all our mind
And to love one another]as your Son Jesus Christ has shown his love for us
Renew us, refresh us
As members of the guild
As we continue on our journey through life
Guide our thinking and bless all that we do in your name
Whose we are and whom we serve
And in whose name we pray. Amen.

MP 153 : For the fruit of his creation

1 For the fruits i His creation,
thanks be to God!
For His gifts to every nation,
thanks be to God!
For the ploughing, sowing, reaping,
silent growth while we are sleeping;
future needs in earth safe’s keeping,
thanks be to God.
2 In the just reward of labour,
God’s will is done;
in the help we give our neighbour,
God’s will is done;
in our world-wide task of caring
for the hungry and despairing;
in the harvests we are sharing,
God’s will is done.
3 For the harvests of the Spirit,
thanks be to God!
For the good we all inherit,
thanks be to God!
For the wonders that astound us
for the truths that still comfort us;
most of all, that love has found us,
thanks be to God!
