Call to Worship
We exalt you Lord
You lift us from the depths
We sing your praises
You clothe us with joy
So, our hearts will not be silent
We will sing your praise
For ever and ever

MP 651 : The Kingdom of God

1 The kingdom of God is justice and joy,
for Jesus restores what sin would destroy;
God’s power and glory in Jesus we know,
and here and hereafter the kingdom shall grow.
2 The kingdom of God is mercy and grace,
the captives are freed, the sinners find place,
the outcast are welcomed God’s banquet to share,
and hope is awakened in place of despair.
3 The kingdom of God is challenge and choice,
believe the good news, repent and rejoice!
His love for us sinners brought Christ to His cross,
our crisis of judgement for gain or for loss.
4 God’s kingdom is come, the gift and the goal,
in Jesus begun, in heaven made whole;
the heirs of the kingdom shall answer His call,
and all things cry ‘Glory!’ to God all-in-all.

Luke 10 : 1- 11,16-20  NIV – UK Jesus sends out the seventy-two
After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go.
He told them, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.
Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.
Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.
Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road.
‘When you enter a house, first say, “Peace to this house.”
If someone who promotes peace is there, your peace will rest on them; if not, it will return to you.
Stay there, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house.
‘When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is offered to you.
Heal those there who are ill and tell them, “The kingdom of God has come near to you.”
But when you enter a town and are not welcomed, go into its streets and say, “Even the dust of your town we wipe from our feet as a warning to you.
Yet be sure of this: the kingdom of God has come near.”
‘Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; but whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.’
The seventy-two returned with joy and said, ‘Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.’
He replied, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.’

MP 532 : O! O! O! How good is the Lord

O! O! O! how good is the Lord,
O! O! O! how good is the Lord,
O! O! O! how good is the Lord,
I will never forget
what He has done for me.

1 He gives me salvation,
how good is the Lord,
He gives me salvation,
how good is the Lord,
He gives me salvation,
how good is the Lord,

2 He gives me His blessings…

3 He gives me His spirit…

4 He gives me His healing…

5 He gives me His glory…

MP 32: An army of ordinary people

1 An army of ordinary people,
a kingdom where love is the key,
a city, a light to all nations,
heirs to the promise are we.
A people whose life is in Jesus,
a nation together we stand;
only through grace are we worthy,
inheritors of the land.
Chorus A new day is dawning,
a new age to come,
when the children of promise
shall flow together as one;
a truth long neglected,
but the time has now come,
when the children of promise
shall flow together as one.

2 A people without recognition,
but with Him a destiny sealed,
called to a heavenly vision,
His purpose shall be fulfilled
Come, let us stand strong together,
abandon ourselves to the King;
His love shall be ours for ever,
this victory song we shall sing.

CH4 682 : Go in grace and make disciples

1 Go in grace and make disciples,
baptize in God’s holy names;
tell of death and resurrection,
Easter’s victory now proclaim.
Christ’s commission sends us forth
to the nations of the earth.
Go in grace and make disciples,
midwives for the world’s rebirth.

2 Go and follow Christ’s example,
not to vanquish, but to heal;
mend the wounds of sin’s divisions,
servant love to all reveal.
Roles and ranks shall be reversed,
justice flow for all who thirst.
Go and follow Christ’s example
forge a world of last made first.

3 Go in Pentecostal spirit,
many tongues and many gifts;
feed the hearts of hungry people,
spread the gospel that uplifts.
As disciplines, teach and learn,
till the day of God’s return.
Go in Pentecostal spirit,
let God’s flame of witness burn.

CH4 252: As a fire
1 As a fire is meant for burning
with a bright and warming flame,
so the Church is meant for mission,
giving glory to God’s name.
Preaching Christ, and not our customs,
let us build a bridge of care,
joining hands across the nations,
finding neighbours everywhere,
2 We are learners; we are teachers;
we are pilgrims on the way.
We are seekers; we are givers;
we are vessels made of clay.
By our gentle, loving actions,
we will show that Christ is light.
In a humble, listening Spirit,
3 As a green bud in the springtime
is a sign of life renewed,
so may we be signs of oneness
‘mid- earth’s peoples, many-hued.
As a rainbows lights the heavens
when a storm is past and gone,
so may we reflect the radiance
of God’s new and glorious dawn.
