And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea,\u00a0\u201cGrant me justice against my adversary.\u201d<br \/>\n\u2018For some time he refused. But finally, he said to himself,<br \/>\n\u201cEven though I don\u2019t fear God or care what people think,\u00a0yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won\u2019t eventually come and attack me!\u201d\u2019<br \/>\nAnd the Lord said,\u00a0\u2018Listen to what the unjust judge says.<br \/>\nAnd will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?<br \/>\nI tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly.<br \/>\nHowever, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?\u2019<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>MP 760: \u00a0Trust and Obey<\/p>\n<p>1 When we walk with the Lord<br \/>\nin the light of His word,<br \/>\nwhat a glory He sheds on our way!<br \/>\nWhile we do His good will,<br \/>\nHe abides with us still,<br \/>\nand with all who will trust and obey.<br \/>\nChorus: Trust and Obey<br \/>\nfor there&#8217;s no other way<br \/>\nto be happy in Jesus,<br \/>\nbut to trust and obey.<\/p>\n<p>2 Not a shadow can rise,<br \/>\nnot a cloud in the skies,<br \/>\nbut His smile quickly drives it away;<br \/>\nnot a doubt nor a fear,<br \/>\nnot a sigh nor a tear,<br \/>\ncan abide while we trust and obey.<\/p>\n<p>3 Not a burden we bear,<br \/>\nnot a sorrow we share,<br \/>\nbut our toil He doth richly repay;<br \/>\nnot a grief nor a loss,<br \/>\nnot a frown or a cross,<br \/>\nbut is blest if we trust and obey.<\/p>\n<p>4 But we never can prove<br \/>\nthe delights if His love,<br \/>\nuntil all on the alter we lay;<br \/>\nfor the favour He shows,<br \/>\nand the joys He bestows<br \/>\nare for them who will trust and obey.<\/p>\n<p>5 Then in fellowship sweet,<br \/>\nwe will sit at His feet,<br \/>\nor we&#8217;ll walk by His side in the way,<br \/>\nWhat He says we will do,<br \/>\nwhere He sends we will go,<br \/>\nnever fear, only trust and obey.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>CH4 547\/MP 746: What a friend we have<\/p>\n<p>1 What a friend we have in Jesus<br \/>\nall our sins and grief to bear!<br \/>\nWhat a privilege to carry<br \/>\neverything to God in prayer!<br \/>\nO what peace we often forfeit<br \/>\nO what needless pain we bear<br \/>\nall because we do not carry<br \/>\neverything to God in Prayer!<\/p>\n<p>2 Have we trials or tribulations?<br \/>\nIs there trouble anywhere?<br \/>\nWe should never be discouraged:<br \/>\ntake it to the Lord in prayer!<br \/>\nCan we find a friend so faithful<br \/>\nwho will all our sorrows share?<br \/>\nJesus knows our every weakness<br \/>\ntake it to the Lord in prayer!<\/p>\n<p>3 Are we weak and heavy laden,<br \/>\ncumbered with a load of care?<br \/>\nPrecious saviour, still our refuge!<br \/>\ntake it to the Lord in prayer!<br \/>\nDo thy friends despise, forsake you?<br \/>\ntake it to the Lord in prayer!<br \/>\nIn His arms He&#8217;ll take and shield thee,<br \/>\nthou wilt find a solace there.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>CH4 515\/MP 604: Soldiers of Christ<\/p>\n<p>1 Soldiers of Christ arise<br \/>\nand put your armour on,<br \/>\nstring in the strength which God supplies<br \/>\nthrough His Eternal Son.<br \/>\nStrong in the Lord of hosts,<br \/>\nand in His mighty power.<br \/>\nwho in the strength of Jesus trusts<br \/>\nis more than conqueror.<\/p>\n<p>2 Stand then in His great might,<br \/>\nwith all His strength endued;<br \/>\nand take, to arm you for the fight,<br \/>\nthe panoply of God:<br \/>\nto keep your armour bright,<br \/>\nattend with constant care,<br \/>\nstill walking in your Captain&#8217;s sight<br \/>\nand watching unto prayer.<\/p>\n<p>3 From strength to strength go on,<br \/>\nwrestle and fight and pray,<br \/>\ntread all the powers of darkness down<br \/>\nand win the well-fought day.<br \/>\nThat, having all things done,<br \/>\nand all your conflicts past,<br \/>\nye may o&#8217;ercome through Christ alone,<br \/>\nand stand entire at last.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Window and the Judge (Words for hymns and bibles reading follow call to worship Welcome &amp;
