MP 651 : The Kingdom of God<\/p>\n

\n
1 The kingdom of God is justice and joy,<\/div>\n
for Jesus restores what sin would destroy;<\/div>\n
God\u2019s power and glory in Jesus we know,<\/div>\n
and here and hereafter the kingdom shall grow.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
2 The kingdom of God is mercy and grace,<\/div>\n
the captives are freed, the sinners find place,<\/div>\n
the outcast are welcomed God\u2019s banquet to share,<\/div>\n
and hope is awakened in place of despair.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

3 The kingdom of God is challenge and choice,<\/div>\n
believe the good news, repent and rejoice!<\/div>\n
His love for us sinners brought Christ to His cross,<\/div>\n
our crisis of judgement for gain or for loss.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

4 God\u2019s kingdom is come, the gift and the goal,<\/div>\n
in Jesus begun, in heaven made whole;<\/div>\n
the heirs of the kingdom shall answer His call,<\/div>\n
and all things cry \u2018Glory!\u2019 to God all-in-all.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Luke 10 : 1- 11,16-20 \u00a0NIV \u2013 UK Jesus sends out the seventy-two
\n<\/strong>After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go.
\nHe told them, \u2018The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.
\nAsk the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.
\nGo! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.
\nDo not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road.
\n\u2018When you enter a house, first say, \u201cPeace to this house.\u201d
\nIf someone who promotes peace is there, your peace will rest on them; if not, it will return to you.
\nStay there, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house.
\n\u2018When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is offered to you.
\nHeal those there who are ill and tell them, \u201cThe kingdom of God has come near to you.\u201d
\nBut when you enter a town and are not welcomed, go into its streets and say,\u00a0\u201cEven the dust of your town we wipe from our feet as a warning to you.
\nYet be sure of this: the kingdom of God has come near.\u201d
\n\u2018Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; but whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.\u2019
\nThe seventy-two returned with joy and said, \u2018Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.\u2019
\nHe replied,\u00a0\u2018I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.\u00a0I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
\nHowever, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.\u2019<\/p>\n

MP 32: An army of ordinary people<\/p>\n

1 An army of ordinary people,
\na kingdom where love is the key,
\na city, a light to all nations,
\nheirs to the promise are we.
\nA people whose life is in Jesus,
\na nation together we stand;
\nonly through grace are we worthy,
\ninheritors of the land.
\nChorus A new day is dawning,
\na new age to come,
\nwhen the children of promise
\nshall flow together as one;
\na truth long neglected,
\nbut the time has now come,
\nwhen the children of promise

2 A people without recognition,

CH4 682 : Go in grace and make disciples<\/p>\n

1 Go in grace and make disciples,
\nbaptize in God’s holy names;
\ntell of death and resurrection,
\nEaster’s victory now proclaim.
\nChrist’s commission sends us forth
\nto the nations of the earth.
\nGo in grace and make disciples,
\nmidwives for the world’s rebirth.<\/p>\n

2 Go and follow Christ’s example,
\nnot to vanquish, but to heal;
\nmend the wounds of sin’s divisions,
\nservant love to all reveal.
\nRoles and ranks shall be reversed,
\njustice flow for all who thirst.
\nGo and follow Christ’s example
\nforge a world of last made first.<\/p>\n

3 Go in Pentecostal spirit,
\nmany tongues and many gifts;
\nfeed the hearts of hungry people,
\nspread the gospel that uplifts.
\nAs disciplines, teach and learn,
\ntill the day of God’s return.
\nGo in Pentecostal spirit,
\nlet God’s flame of witness burn.<\/p>\n

1 As a fire is meant for burning<\/div>\n
with a bright and warming flame,<\/div>\n
so the Church is meant for mission,<\/div>\n
giving glory to God\u2019s name.<\/div>\n
Preaching Christ, and not our customs,<\/div>\n
let us build a bridge of care,<\/div>\n
joining hands across the nations,<\/div>\n
finding neighbours everywhere,<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
<\/div>\n
2 We are learners; we are teachers;<\/div>\n
we are pilgrims on the way.<\/div>\n
We are seekers; we are givers;<\/div>\n
we are vessels made of clay.<\/div>\n
By our gentle, loving actions,<\/div>\n
