So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, \u2018<em>They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don\u2019t know where they have put him!\u2019<br \/>\n<\/em>So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb.\u00a0Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first.\u00a0He bent over and looked in at the strips of linen lying there but did not go in.\u00a0Then Simon Peter came along behind him and went straight into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there,\u00a0as well as the cloth that had been wrapped round Jesus\u2019 head. The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen.\u00a0Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed.\u00a0<strong><sup>\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>(They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.)\u00a0Then the disciples went back to where they were staying.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>MP 1105 : See what a morning<br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql o9v6fnle ii04i59q\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">1 With the dawning of hope in Jerusalem<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Folded the grave clothes, tomb filled with light<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">As the angels announce Christ is risen<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">See God\u2019s salvation plan<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Wrought in love, borne in pain, paid in sacrifice<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Fulfilled in Christ the man<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">For he lives, Christ is risen from the dead<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql o9v6fnle ii04i59q\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">2 See Mary weeping, where is he laid?<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">As in sorrow she turns form the empty tomb<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Hears a voice speaking, calling her name<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">It\u2019s the master, the Lord raised to life again.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The voice that spans the years<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Speaking life, stirring hope, bringing peace to us<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Will sound when he appears<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">For he lives, Christ is risen from the dead<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql o9v6fnle ii04i59q\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">3 One with the Father, ancient of days<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Through the Spirit who clothes faith with certainty<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Honour and blessing, glory and praise<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">To the King crowned with power and authority<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">And we are raised with Him<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Death is dead, love has won, Christ has conquered<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">And we shall reign with him<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">For he lives, Christ is risen from the dead.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong><em>JP 60 :\u00a0 God\u2019s not dead<br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>God&#8217;s not dead (no),<br \/>\nHe is alive.<br \/>\nGod&#8217;s not dead (no),<br \/>\nHe is alive.<br \/>\nGod&#8217;s not dead (no),<br \/>\nHe is alive!<br \/>\nServe Him with my hands,<br \/>\nfollow with my feet,<br \/>\nlove Him in my heart;<br \/>\nfor He&#8217;s alive in me.<\/p>\n<p><strong>John 20 : 11 \u2013 18 Jesus appears to Mary Magdalene<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb\u00a0and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus\u2019 body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot.<br \/>\nThey asked her, \u2018<em>Woman, why are you crying?\u2019<br \/>\n<\/em><em>\u2018They have taken my Lord away,\u2019 she said, \u2018and I don\u2019t know where they have put him.\u2019<\/em>\u00a0At this, she turned round and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realise that it was Jesus.<br \/>\nHe asked her,\u00a0\u2018<em>Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?\u2019<br \/>\n<\/em>Thinking he was the gardener, she said, \u2018Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.\u2019<br \/>\nJesus said to her,\u00a0\u2018<em>Mary<\/em>.\u2019<br \/>\nShe turned towards him and cried out in Aramaic, \u2018<em>Rabboni<\/em>!\u2019 (which means \u2018Teacher\u2019).<br \/>\nJesus said,\u00a0\u2018<em>Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father.
