John 2:1-12 New International Version
\n<\/strong>Jesus Changes Water Into Wine<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee.\u00a0Jesus\u2019 mother was there,\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding.\u00a0When the wine was gone, Jesus\u2019 mother said to him, \u201cThey have no more wine.\u201d
\n<\/em>\u201cWoman, why do you involve me?\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Jesus replied.\u00a0\u201cMy hour\u00a0has not yet come.\u201d
\n<\/em>His mother said to the servants, \u201cDo whatever he tells you.\u201d
\n<\/em>Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing,\u00a0each holding from twenty to thirty gallons
\nJesus said to the servants,\u00a0\u201cFill the jars with water\u201d;<\/em> so they filled them to the brim.
\nThen he told them,\u00a0\u201cNow draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.\u201d
\n<\/em>They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine.\u00a0He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew.
\nThen he called the bridegroom aside\u00a0and said,
\n\u201cEveryone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.\u201d
\n<\/em>What Jesus did here in Cana of Galilee was the first of the signs\u00a0through which he revealed his glory;\u00a0and his disciples believed in him.
\nAfter this he went down to Capernaum\u00a0with his mother\u00a0and brothers\u00a0and his disciples. There they stayed for a few days.<\/p>\n

CH4 528\/MP 456: Make me a channel<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
