He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields with fire. He says,<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBe still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.<\/p>\n<p>Psalm 46<\/p>\n<p><strong>CH4 424 : Blessed <\/strong><strong>be the everlasting God<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1 Blest be the everlasting God,<br \/>\nthe Father of our Lord!<br \/>\nBe his abounding mercy praised,<br \/>\nhis majesty adored!<\/p>\n<p>2 When from the dead he raised his Son,<br \/>\nand called him to the sky.<br \/>\nhe gave our souls a lively hope<br \/>\nthat they should never die.<\/p>\n<p>3 To an inheritance divine<br \/>\nhe taught our hearts to rise;<br \/>\nhis uncorrupted, undefiled,<br \/>\nunfading in the skies.<\/p>\n<p>4 Saints by the power of God are kept,<br \/>\ntill the salvation come:<br \/>\nwe walk by faith as strangers here;<br \/>\nher Christ shall call us home.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reading : John 15 9-17<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2018As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.<\/p>\n<p>If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father\u2019s commands and remain in his love.<\/p>\n<p>I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: love each other as I have loved you.<\/p>\n<p>Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one\u2019s life for one\u2019s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command.
