\nIn the heavens God has pitched a tent\u00a0for the sun.
\nIt is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, like a champion rejoicing to run his course. It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other;
\nnothing is deprived of its warmth.<\/p>\n

\nFor His gifts to every nation,

\nFor the ploughing, sowing, reaping,
\nsilent growth while we are sleeping;
\nfuture needs in earth safe’s keeping,

\nfor the hungry and despairing;

\nLord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

\nThrough the praise of children and infants
\nyou have established a stronghold against your enemies,
\nto silence the foe and the avenger.
\nWhen I consider your heavens,\u00a0the work of your fingers,
\nthe moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
\nwhat is mankind that you are mindful of them,
\nhuman beings that you care for them?
\n<\/sup>You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honour. You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet all flocks and herds, and the animals of the wild, the birds in the sky,
\nand the fish in the sea,\u00a0all that swim the paths of the seas.
\nLord, our Lord,\u00a0how majestic is your name in all the earth!<\/p>\n
\ngave it a purpose in time and space
\nsmall as a spark from the fire of creation,
\ncradle of life and the home of our rock.<\/p>\n
\nlife that sustains us in body and mind;
\nplenty for all, if we learn how to share it,
\nriches undreamed of to fathom and find.<\/p>\n
\nlong has earth bowed to the terror of force;
\nlong have we wasted what others have the need of,
\npoisoned the fountain of life at its source.<\/p>\n
\nours, as God’s stewards, to farm and defend.
\nFrom its pollution, misuse, and destruction,
\ngood Lord, deliver us, world without end!<\/p>\n
\nfor the beauty of the skies,
\nfor the love which from our birth,
\nover and around us lies;
\nFather, unto You we raise
\nthis our sacrifice of praise.<\/p>\n

\nhill and vale, and tree and flower,
