\n<\/strong>When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter.
\nFor God said, \u201cIf they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.\u201d
\nSo God led\u00a0the people around by the desert road toward the Red Sea. The Israelites went up out of Egypt ready for battle.
\nMoses took the bones of Joseph with him because Joseph had made the Israelites swear an oath. He had said, \u201cGod will surely come to your aid, and then you must carry my bones up with you from this place.\u201d
\nAfter leaving Sukkoth\u00a0they camped at Etham on the edge of the desert.\u00a0<\/sup>By day the\u00a0Lord\u00a0went ahead\u00a0of them in a pillar of cloud\u00a0to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night.\u00a0<\/sup>Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left\u00a0its place in front of the people.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord\u2019s disciples.\u00a0He went to the high priest\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup>and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus,\u00a0so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way,\u00a0whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem.\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup>As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, \u201cSaul, Saul, why do you persecute me?\u201d
\n\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cWho are you, Lord?\u201d Saul asked.
\n\u201cI am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,\u201d\u00a0he replied.\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cNow get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.\u201d<\/p>\n

\ninto a waiting cradle:
\nthe gift of Christ, receive, revere,
\nunited round the table.<\/p>\n
\nhe is love’s deepest measure;
\nin love make peace, give peace a chance
\nand share it live a treasure.<\/p>\n
\nyour Master proclaim,
\nand publish abroad
\nHis wonderful name;
\nthe name all-victorious
\nof Jesus extol;
\nHis kingdom is glorious,
\nand rules over all.<\/p>\n
\nalmighty to save;
\nand still He is nigh,
\nHis presence we have;
\nthe great congregation
\nHis triumph shall sing,
\nascribing salvation
\nto Jesus our King.<\/p>\n
\nwho sits on the throne’,
\nlet all cry aloud,
\nand honour the Son;
\nthe praises of Jesus

\nall glory and power,
\nall wisdom and might;
\nall honour and blessing,
