Acts 5:12-16<\/strong><\/p>\n

The apostles heal many
\n<\/strong>The apostles performed many signs and wonders among the people. And all the believers used to meet together in Solomon\u2019s Colonnade.\u00a0No one else dared join them, even though they were highly regarded by the people.\u00a0Nevertheless, more and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number.\u00a0As a result, people brought those who were ill into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter\u2019s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by.\u00a0Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing those who were ill and those tormented by impure spirits, and all of them were healed.<\/p>\n

Acts 6:1-4
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

The choosing of the seven
\n<\/strong>In those days when the number of disciples was increasing, the Hellenistic Jews among them complained against the Hebraic Jews because their widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food.\u00a0So the Twelve gathered all the disciples together and said, \u2018It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables.\u00a0Brothers and sisters, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.\u2019<\/p>\n

Acts 8:1-3
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

The church persecuted and scattered
\n<\/strong>And Saul approved of their killing him.
\nOn that day a great persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria.\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Godly men buried Stephen and mourned deeply for him.\u00a0But Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off both men and women and put them in prison.<\/p>\n

CH4 659: Put peace into each other\u2019s hands
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

1 Put peace into each other’s hands
\nand like a treasure hold it;
\nprotect it like a candle flame,
\nwith tenderness enfold it.<\/p>\n

2 Put peace into each other’s hands
\nwith loving expectation;
\nbe gentle in your words and ways,
\nin touch with God’s creation.<\/p>\n

3 Put peace into each other’s hands,
\nlike bread we break for sharing;
\nlook people warmly in the eye:
\nour life is meant for caring.<\/p>\n

4 And at communion, shape your hands
\ninto a waiting cradle;
\nthe gift of Christ, receive, revere,
\nunited round the table.<\/p>\n

5 Put Christ into each other’s hands,
\nhe is love’s deepest measure;
\nin love make peace, give peace a chance
\nand share it like a treasure.<\/p>\n

MP 109 Crown him with many crowns<\/strong><\/p>\n

1 Crown Him with many crowns,
\nthe Lamb upon His throne;
\nHark! how the heavenly anthem
\ndrowns all music but its own:
\nawake, my soul, and sing
\nof Him who died for thee,
\nand hail Him as thy chosen King
\nthrough all eternity.<\/p>\n

2 Crown Him the Son of God
\nbefore the worlds began;
\nand ye who tread where He hath trod,
\ncrown Him the Son of Man,
\nwho every grief hath known
\nthat wrings the human breast,
\nand takes and bears them for Him own,
\nthat all in Him may rest.<\/p>\n

3 Crown Him the Lord of life,
\nwho triumphed o’er the grave,
\nand rose victorious in the strife,
\nfor those He came to save:
\nHis glories now we sing,
\nwho died and rose on high,
\nwho died external life to bring,
\nand lives that death may die.<\/p>\n

4 Crown Him the Lords of heaven,
\nenthroned in worlds above;
\ncrown Him the King to whom is given
\nthe wondrous name of Love:
\nall hail, Redeemer hail!
\nfor Thou hast died for me;
\nThy praise shall never, never fail
\nthroughout eternity.<\/p>\n
