The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.<br \/>\nAgain, Jesus said,<br \/>\n\u2018Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.\u2019<br \/>\nAnd with that he breathed on them and said,\u00a0\u2018Receive the Holy Spirit.\u00a0If you forgive anyone\u2019s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.\u2019<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jesus appears to Thomas<br \/>\n<\/strong>Now Thomas (also known as Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came.\u00a0So the other disciples told him, \u2018We have seen the Lord!\u2019<br \/>\nBut he said to them,<br \/>\n\u2018Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.\u2019<br \/>\nA week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said,<br \/>\n\u2018Peace be with you!\u2019<br \/>\nThen he said to Thomas,<br \/>\n\u2018Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side.
