1 Dear Lord and Father of mankind
\nforgive our foolish way;
\nre-clothe us in our rightful mind;
\nin purer lives Thy service find,
\nin deeper reverence, praise<\/p>\n

2 O Sabbath rest by Galilee!
\nO calm of hills above,
\nwhere Jesus knelt to share with Thee
\nthe silence of eternity,
\ninterpreted by love!<\/p>\n

3 With that deep hush subduing all
\nour words and works that drown
\nthe tender whisper of Thy call,
\nas noiseless let Thy blessing fall
\nas fell Thy manna down.<\/p>\n

Mark 1: 9-13\u00a0 [NIV]<\/p>\n

At that time Jesus came from Nazareth\u00a0in Galilee and was baptized by John\u00a0in the Jordan. Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: \u201cYou are my Son,\u00a0whom I love; with you I am well pleased.\u201d<\/p>\n

At once the Spirit sent him out into the wilderness, and he was in the wilderness forty days,\u00a0being tempted\u00a0by Satan.\u00a0He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him.<\/p>\n

\nBut God’s power, hour by hour,
\nis my temple and my tower.<\/p>\n

3 Day by day our mighty giver
