Call to Worship
\n<\/strong>The Lord is my rock,
\nmy fortress and my deliverer
\nHe is my shield and my stronghold<\/p>\n

My Lord, keep my lamp burning;
\nMy God turns my darkness into light.<\/p>\n

For who is God besides the\u00a0Lord?
\nAnd who is the Rock except our God?
\nIt is God who arms me with strength
\nand keeps my way secure.<\/p>\n

CH4 706 Come and find the quiet centre<\/strong><\/p>\n

1 For the healing of the nations,
\nLord, we pray with one accord;
\nfor a just and equal sharing
\nof the things that earth affords
\nTo a life of love in action
\nhelps us rise and pledge our word.<\/p>\n

2 Lead us forward into freedom,
\nfrom despair your world release,
\nthat, redeemed from war and hatred,
\nall may come and go in peace.
\nShow us how through care and goodness
\nfear will die and hope increase.<\/p>\n

3 All that kills abundant living,
\nlet it from the earth be banned;
\npride of status, race, or schooling,
\ndogmas that obscure your plan.
\nIn our common quest for justice
\nmay we hallow life’s brief span.<\/p>\n

4 You, Creator-God, have written
\nyour great name on humankind;

Mark 1:29-39<\/strong><\/p>\n

As soon as they left the synagogue, they went with James and John to the home of Simon and Andrew.
\nSimon\u2019s mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they immediately told Jesus about her.
\nSo, he went to her, took her hand and helped her up. The fever left her and she began to wait on them.
\nThat evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all who were ill and demon-possessed.
\nThe whole town gathered at the door,\u00a0and Jesus healed many who had various diseases.
\nHe also drove out many demons, but he would not let the demons speak because they knew who he was.
\nThroughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons.<\/p>\n

CH4 722 Spirit of God come dwell within me<\/strong><\/p>\n

1 Spirit of God, come dwell within me.
\nOpen my heart, oh, come set me free.
\nFill me with love for Jesus, my Lord,
\ncome, fill me with living water.<\/p>\n
