Call to Worship<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

How wonderful are the things the Lord does!
\nAll who are delighted with them want to understand them.
\nAll God does is full of honour and majesty;
\nhis righteousness is eternal.
\nIn all he does he is faithful and just;
\nall his commands are dependable. They last for all time;
\nHis commands were given in truth and righteousness.
\nGod is to be praised forever.<\/p>\n

Mark 1:21-28<\/strong>
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

They went to Capernaum, and when the Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach.
\nThe people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught them as one who had authority, not as the teachers of the law.
\nJust then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an impure spirit cried out,
\n\u201cWhat do you want with us,\u00a0Jesus of Nazareth?\u00a0Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are\u2014the Holy One of God!\u201d
\n<\/sup>\u201cBe quiet!\u201d\u00a0said Jesus sternly.\u00a0\u201cCome out of him!\u201d
\nThe impure spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek.
\n<\/sup>The people were all so amazed\u00a0that they asked each other, \u201cWhat is this? A new teaching\u2014and with authority! He even gives orders to impure spirits and they obey him.\u201d
\nNews about him spread quickly over the whole region\u00a0of Galilee.<\/p>\n

Hymn MP 709: To him we come<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nJesus Christ our Lord,
\nGod’s own living Word,
\nHis dear Son:
\nin Him there is no east and west,
\nto all He offers peace and rest –
